Gumtree.. really, wow. Every time I've had something on there I get swap requests and ridiculous lowball offers.
I guess ebay is an option too considering the Costin frame has worldwide appeal.

I think I'm going to have to sell my bikes - advice.
Circumstances have changed for me and I think keeping my bikes is probably not viable. I might keep the LC because it's not running at the moment, but the 500 is probably going to go. I'm after some advice from those of you who do a lot of trading. Where's the best place to sell it do you think? I m...

Re: RZ Tanks From India
If anyone needs tank work done no matter how bad the tank is, there's a bloke on the mustang forum who helped me a lot with my car. He also does a lot of work on bikes, including repairing bad old tanks. He's also a great bloke as an added bonus. You can see some of his tank work here: https://www.m...

Re: RZ500 parts
Most of my stuff went with the frame a long time ago. Just happened to have a box of bolts and other small bits hanging around.

Re: RZ500 parts
Yeah they are a nice setup.
I'm not an "original" guy, so chances are I will never use the bolts.
Maybe work out which way you're going to go first.
I'd like to see these go to someone who needs them for a standard setup since they're getting hard to find (like a bunch of other 500 parts).

Re: RZ500 parts
I might have those two long bolts somewhere in my stash. I'm in Canberra for a few days, but I can have a look when I get back. From memory, they actually have a phillips head on the end?

Re: Can You Appeal A Stat Write Off?
They changed the write-off laws in NSW to stop cars being stolen for parts. So now there's no such thing as a repairable write-off. That actually hurt the parts (including wreckers) industry because SOME people were repairing the cars legitimately. But way too many were buying a repairable write-off...

Re: 10% gst charges on overseas purchases
Yeah the ATO has been working with some big overseas players and they are now collecting GST.
Places like summit racing etc.
Also, I know my freight forwarder (comgateway) are also collecting GST on items before they are forwarded.
How the ATO has convinced them to comply I don't know...

Re: 10% gst charges on overseas purchases
Yeah they can't force overseas sellers to abide by our laws.
They actually only have to comply anyway if their sales are over a certain amount. Can't remember what it is.
