Re: TZR250 fairings

I just bought one on ebay from Finland. Good quality and great price. Cheap postage but have to see how well they pack it. I'll report back when it arrives. Also, one of the guys from the TZR forum is sending them the F3 race kit fairing top to copy so I will get that too once it is done. Are you ne...

Re: Boost bottle facts?

Sorry Jon but I don't think more crankcase volume is the answer.

What Yamaha did on the R1-Z (1990-1993) was fit a T between the inlet manifolds which connected via one short tube to the boost bottle.

Re: powervalve question dt200

Controller the same? That is odd.
The controller IC has a pin to indicate whether it is fitted to a single or a twin.

Re: Yamaha YPVS controller modification

TDR has an all in one CDI YPVS controller. TZR has separate YPVS controller. The TZR forum has some guys playing around with a TDR controller to make it programmable. We just need to wait until they work it all out.

Re: 2MA TZR oil question

Penrite semi synthetic 2 stroke.

Try XT225 clutch springs which are also used in the FIII race kit: 90501-23700-00

Re: RGVvj22 forks onto 1kt

I have the original bars fitted below the triple clamps.
There is enough room with the original fairing.
I prefer them in this position because it helps me get more weight over the front end
which helps with stability in high speed corners with the narrow slick tyre that I use.

Re: tzr Tidy up,

Thanks very much for doing that for me. On my race bike small amounts of weight can all add up and so it is important to know which parts are lighter. Sometimes it is worthwhile to have the heavier part like my 15mm front axle which is more rigid even though it is 100gm heavier. 1695gm is a pretty g...

Yes, mine is a 1992 Brazillian. I bought it new in England when I was working over there.
As far as I know it is the only one in Australia.

Re: tzr Tidy up,

The Tyga silencers are excellent. Also get the mounting flanges to weld to your pipes.
I prefer to buy direct from Tyga. http://tyga-performance.com/site/index.php?currency=AUD

Re: TDR250 on gumtree

Your TDR shouldn't be sensitive.
What plugs? What oil? What plug caps? What fuel?
Carbs synchronised? Oil pump adjusted? Carb idle mixture set?
