I'm not sure Ant, he's from Hong Kong and has an American accent. It's been several months since I last spoke to him.

Re: Tzr 250 wanted
Where are you and how much are you willing to part with? I know a guy in Melb. with a full 3xv R model (restricted to buggery), wet clutch, etc. It's not in great condition and hasn't run for a while. He was trying to sell it several months ago but as far as I know he still has it. His names Nick an...

Re: Group buy from Japan - RG500 / RZ500 ??
Here is some light reading. The powers that be do make it sound hard to get these things in. I investigated doing this a couple of years ago but realized you either need someone you can trust in Japan to over see everything that needs to be done before departure or you need to be there your self. ht...

Various RGV vj22 parts and soon to come my RZ500 bits
I'm moving house soon so need to off load some parts. I've listed some of my spare parts on ebay if your interested bid if not....... well I'm sure you can work out the rest. I'll be listing some RZ stuff like Front disc's, clocks and general running gear. I'll not be listing any RZ500 engine stuff ...

Re: Group buy from Japan - RG500 / RZ500 ??
Thanks Peet, I've seen that site. They have a few nice examples on there. The problem with the 3XV is they were never imported to Aust so any 3xv you import is purely for racing or parts. Lucky for me I have one thats Aust complienced but there isn't many 3xv's here at all, including mine I am aware...

Re: Group buy from Japan - RG500 / RZ500 ??
I'd be interested in 3xv's, vj23's, 4DP onwards Tz's. I'd also be interested in the empty spaces being filled with parts for all "sort after" 500/750 2T's, like the KR, RG, RZ, TZ, etc. Last time I checked shipping and customs duty at 5% (not luxury car duty) was averaging at 3000 USD on a...

Re: Short fun run!!!!!
5HRS! That mite be fun on an LC but from experience I can tell you it's crippling on a RGV ................. Perhaps there should be a 90's bike run section and a pre 90's bike run section? [align=justify]

A flat 20 deg across the entire RPM range? That would limit the top RPM significantly!

Re: tank repairers
Ant- The one in the link looks like a Poly tank similar to the Aprilia RS, are you sure they are Glass? Either way anything under $1000 AUD for a long time discontinued tank is good.Antman wrote:Think from memory Hyside does them for $650.

Re: turbocharged 2 stroke
Nitros is much easier to install, control and it's cheaper by a LOT. All you need is the kit for Fuel injected bikes as they use a fogger in the air box.
You'll need to rejet to suit the "lean" condition though.

Re: tank repairers
$500 for a brand new steel tank is a bargin! you would pay twice that for a carbon or fiberglass one.
Or you could make own your carbon one it's not as hard as it looks........

Re: RZ500 engine in hybrid frames
Lozza suggested a FZR250 as the doner chassis to me about a year ago, it's nice and wide as it houses a inline 4 4t and the 91' model onwards has fairings a lot like a 3ma/3xv. When a cheap FZR shows up I'll be doing this conversion.

Re: RZ500 Sparkplugs
Same as the RGV then  I'm told the Jap manufacturers liked to be a little over protective in this area and only put the resistor cap on just in case some one fitted non resistor plugs? I guess the only way to really know is test the spark on the non resistor plugs then test the the resistor pl...
