RGV Suzuki Carbs on my RD Yammy

Has anyone fitted the flat slide carbies off a RGV250 to a RD350? Any improvement? Worth the effort?

Re: New Member RD400C

That or buy some left handed twist drill bits.Did this very recently with success. This is my fav method ;) . Start smallish and work your way up. Start with a flat centre and centre punch the centre to start straight. Between the vibration, the heat and the reverse torque which is only exaggerated...

Re: New Member RD400C

Blue, pop that exhaust off and try tapping the broken bit of the stud with a fine pin punch in the anti-clockwise direction to undo it, you may surprise yourself with the stud coming out quite easily, while the barrels are still on the bike. It got to be better than riding around with an exhaust leak.

Re: RD250F Basket Case

I have scored a RD400 Daytona (Aust Complied Version) so it is in pretty bad shape, that RD250 will do for some of the hard to get parts.

Re: New Member RD400C

Simple physics says that when the piston is tilted, the longest part will protrude the furthest. in the event of too much clearance you do get a lot of piston rock causing the slapping sound while running, however in my opinion on the power stroke the thrust side of the bore is the exhaust side, wh...

Re: 750 H2 Cdi fail

shopping through the maze of CDI units available, it is now a question of do I chance a good used unit for $150 for that one cylinder or do I buy a new modern unit that replaces the 3 cdi to all cylinders for just over $300??? ahhhhh decisions! ..and to add a bit of uncertainty, I can not test if it...

750 H2 Cdi fail

My 750 H2 started oiling up plugs on the rh cylinder , now the spark on that cylinder has signed off altogether. Looks like I am on the hunt for a good CDI unit,, or pick up.

Re: New Member RD400C

Thanks everyone. Really worried about said "chip of aluminium". Where could it be and what's it likely to do to my engine if I can't find it? What about pistons such as TKJR, Vertex and Pro-X? Is one 'better' than another? Couldn't find much doing a search. Blue It would have blown out th...
