Re: Australian Yamaha Parts Supplier recommendations
yes, my advice is to make a list of part numbers and then find out who is cheapest. note that. build the list up and buy when you have enough to get free post or you need to get stuff 'now'. bear in mind that slow boat from Japan takes 3months (ie webike offers seamail along with fast post, but most...

Re: Australian Yamaha Parts Supplier recommendations
I did a post a while back about where to buy stuff and a lot of that is still current. In Aus I use the local dealers online ordering for some parts but am wary of costs and cross shop with Japanese and Eu/USA/UK as well. you will find some things are good value here and others are stupid priced, th...

Re: RZ250 Rebuild!
Hmm, with no spark i think its something fundamental. I'd advise you follow the wiring diagrams and check the power runs as expected, across the switches and through all the connectors. ie check continuity for the +12v and also check the whole kill switch circuit isnt earthed. Also make sure youve p...

Re: RZ250 Rebuild!
back to the start then... Do you have spark? If not then you need to trace the ignition system to find out where it fails to proceed. These are pretty simple bikes, if youve swapped lots of the ignition parts (CDI, stator, coil) already then its in the wiring or switches. make sure youre getting pow...

Re: RZ250 Rebuild!
The mail is restarting now (systems were hacked) and they will start accepting parcels again soon, the backlog is clearing now, but i expect people will swamp it again quickly. I have stuff im waiting for as well sadly.

Re: RZ250 Rebuild!
I assume when you kick it over there is a spark? if not its likely the kill switch circuit...
Check all the connectors and make sure when ignition is on that the kill switch wiring isnt earthing.
And... check the switches? check the ignition and the kill. Both can cause intermittent issues

Re: RZ250 Rebuild!
Does it only do this when warm? If so I'd suspect the stator. Try swapping that out.

Re: eBay Alloy Elsie Radiators
Ive had them for the RZ and the LC. I found the better units seem to come from GPI, but these are all Chinese and probably all made in one place, tho the quality does change and price isnt the factor when buying. Maybe use someone like Worley who sells them here and you might have more comeback if y...

Re: RZ250 information
These bikes always sell best when original looking, they cost too much to be ugly.
Lots of advice out there, but I'll start.... dont forget to redo the crank seals before you run it.

Re: Looking for some LC parts
List updated (I found a NOS swinger pivot bolt) - Battery flap - Set of 350 Calipers - or at least the left side 'late' '350' unit... or perhaps a set of 83/84 YPVS calipers... even sans brackets as I have some? - Rear 'subframe', cut is ok - 'Front inner' rear mudguard - the one the shock goes thro...
