Re: DT175 “1EJ” 1986 model - microfiche or PDF?

Hey BRG. I have parts manuals, service manuals owners manuals etc. for later model 175s. They are pretty much the same except for the disc brake front end. And they were still available new in Africa until a couple of years ago.

PM me if you need them.

Re: RD250LC

A mate of mine just recently did his steering head bearings on his KDX250 and all he did was hit the faces of the old cups with a MIG and run a few beads and they fell out when they cooled.

I usually weld a bit of crap over mine and then use a long drift, but I might try the other way next time.

Re: Tricking up an RZ250

Ever get to Melbourne Jon? My 250 is here, stock and you can go for a lap on it. It is on club reg, so we need to do the paperwork etc,but that is bugger all. I also know for a fact that it can hold off a BMW RS1200 with a pillion passenger until about 140KM/h. Allegedly. Then the bimmer smells like...

Re: KTM 380 - rebuild req'd? Help a 2T n00b.

I agree that the piston doesn't look happy. In my experience with Yamahas, with the big end bearing there will be a small amount of side movement, but vertical movement of either conrod bearing is bad. If the barrel has similar scores in it it may come out with a dunny brush hone or you might be loo...

Re: Proper man bikes

Man bikes have the chain on the right
So, 2T, my IT200 is a mans bike. Thats good to know, thanks.
Those bike would be great with a TSS500 engine in the frame!! ;-)
Did these ever become more than vapourware? They would have been amazing if they lived up to the marketing department.

No malice intended Baff, just having a bit of a giggle trying to lighten up the chit chat. Righto, so you can have a bit of a giggle and lighten up the chit chat and I'm a wanker for doing the same. Yet you've not added a single thing more to the thread, which as I recall is an unanswerable questio...

Or quick bits of weld onto the end of the broken stud(not the surrounding alloy) building it up until you can get the footprints (or similar) onto it. The heating and cooling helps too.

Must have been a while since I checked this thread as there is nothing left.

I want a square headlight fairing set for an 85 RZ250 (RD250/350 N LC in UK speak). or depending on price maybe 2 sets.

oh, we are many. Very casual scene though, everyone helps everyone else out and if some poor bugger cant get their bike to start, it is like moths to a flame. There was a feature in ADB in December last year. First time I have ever had a bike in a feature in ADB. Admittedly it was a wide group shot ...

Beats the shit out of the plastic tubs I keep mine in. Having said that, when I go to a Vinduro, I take every tool I can think of in order to make the Old Bike Gods think of new and creative ways to fcuk me up. Last tame at Three Bridges, it was the retaining ring that holds the rear wheel bearing i...

Dunno who it was, but I really enjoyed that vid and Elsie gave a pretty good account of itself.

That might have tripped me into taking my RZ on the next track day with my local club. You can bring the R6 Jeram. Or the CM380, or the TZR.
