Re: Gold Coast LC

I always wonder why people sell their bikes after doing a major resto, after all that time any money I would want to keep and enjoy it , at least for a while.

Re: Found under a tarp

The sidecovers are huge, I never realised it before but Honda made the MC16 a very close copy to the legendary Freddies 1985 250 gp bike.
A replica would be nice....... ( just slapped myself !)

Hi BRG,
Doesnt hurt to ask.. he may be happy just to get rid of it, hopefully.
It could at least make a good spares bike.

Hi Folks, Thought Id post a picture of a project that thats recently come into my possesion. Looks like you have a really good base for your project from the pics, looking forward to seeing it come along. The seat cowl is a real bonus too !

Re: RD350LC's for sale on ebay

Yep good point OzzyElsie, 250 proddy racing was very popular, I remember huge feilds of RZ's,RG's ,KR's then TZR's and RGV's and the odd imported NSR. So many of the top Aussie racers got their start in 250 proddie racing. .eg Kevin Magee ,Mick Doohan would be two of the better known.

Re: RD350LC's for sale on ebay

Over here (I grew up in Adelaide,I think the other states were the same)we had the standard 250cc learner restriction at 16 years old, thats why there are more 250's here than 350's. There was the odd 350 with 250 decals getting around I remember . I dont think I knew anyone who had their bike stole...

Re: How many RG250 owners on here?

Yeh, I had a RG500 as well in the 80's , a black, orange, white one.... I traded my Rg250 (blue)for it , it was as new ,less than one year old with about 4,500kms I think it cost around $3,200. Traded it one year later for a more practical FZ750. Idioooot !! :loopy: Given up on any ideas of getting an...

Re: How many RG250 owners on here?

Fingers crossed BRG, hope its all good engine wise! Sympathise with the lack of time to work on bikes, I bought a house last year and have so many fix up projects on the go that shed time is even harder to find! But the RG is coming to the front of the shed this weekend and definately going to alloc...
