Australian Yamaha Parts Supplier recommendations

Hi, restoring my RZ's (very slowly) and will need to replace the crank seals. I have been buying bits and bobs from wemoto and yambits, but when it comes to critical parts like bearing and seals I would like to get genuine. So who do people recommend as suppliers for original parts in Oz. Is it just...

Re: RZ250 Front Fork Springs free length

I ended up checking my other RZs from 82 and they all have the same spring so I am a bit confused as to why YSS list these as suitable for any age of RZ. In the end I just used the new longer ones and see what they are like, they certainly have more Newtons of force required over a given length. Wha...

RZ250 Front Fork Springs free length

Hi all, Anyone know the factory spring free lengths for RZ's? I'm overhauling my 86 RZ250 and went out and ordered from YSS suspension AU the springs and PD Valve kit. It seems on their site all the models from 83-96 suit the same spring and PD valve for Rd/RZ 83-96 Anyway I measured the old spring ...

Thanks for the advice will give it a go.

Re: RZ250 Rebuild!

Did you paint the wheels yourself or father in law. Only interested how you managed to get a good clean line between the black and polished edges. Did you just mask it up with tape? Not sure if there is a forum topic on how to achieve that look.

Re: RZ250/350 YPVS Tyre choices

Awesome thanks guys. I took a look at the tyres I have on my RD350 F1 I bought for the bike back in 1991. Which were stock sizes at the time. (The engine seized and its been parked up ever since)
So will look at the BT46.

RZ250/350 YPVS Tyre choices

Hi, well its been about 30 years since I needed to get tyres for the 250/350 and looking at the manual the 250 is showing 90/90-18 and rear 110/80-18. Not much of a selection there when I check online. I am used to pilot sports but all I see in Michelin is the Michelin Road Classic. https://www.moto...

Re: RZ250 86 owners rear sub frame picture

Yes your right I posted a comment on Facebook seems all 86 models onwards had this. So yeah if you can that would be great. If you have a steel ruler if you hold that in shots to get height above mudguard.

RZ250 86 owners rear sub frame picture

Hi any RZ250 86 owners could take a picture of the rear sub frame where the grab rail bolts. I'm restoring one but previous owner had ground off a rail. I'd like to try and fabricate one before I respray it. See pic with red circle. Seems none of previous 250's had it nor any 350's https://i.postimg...
