Re: RD350 Project
From what I've been able to find after doing a bit of googling it seems like 28's are definitely the go for a street ridden bike, I'm leaning towards the keihin pwk's. The wiring shouldn't be too difficult with the gauge and m-unit and because I'm building the loom from scratch at least I won't have...

Re: RD350 Project
Back after a bit of a hiatus, not much progress has been made because I've been off gallivanting around the world with the wife which takes up all the time and money I have for projects lol. The bottom end of the engine is together now and I've just recently started doing the wiring and mounting up ...

Re: RD350 selector forks
Cool thanks, I figure it has to be something like that. It all seems to go back together properly with the 4 forks and it's the only way it all fits

RD350 selector forks
This may sound like a bit of a dumb question but how many selector forks should I have in a 74 RD350 gearbox. My Haynes manual says 3 (2 rear of the selector barrel, 1 forward) but the engine had 4 when I pulled it apart and seems to only go back together and make any sense with 4 Sent from my D6503...

Re: RD350 Project
Never thought of putting a dishwasher in the the shed but it could be handy haha, I would like one of those parts cleaning troughs though. The clean shed is probably a mixture of having the whole clean work area thing drummed into me at work all the time because I'm an aircraft mechanic and having a...

Re: RD350 Project
Couldn't help loosely chucking the tank and seat on to see how things look when my clip-ons turned up today and to answer the obvious question, of course I climbed up there and sat on it haha

Re: RD350 Project
Yeah it definitely hurt, I bought it earlier last year. I think the conversion rate was a bit better then and you get 16% off that because we don't pay vat which helps

Re: RD350 Project
Yeah the price tag definitely hurt but I'm going with the do it once do it right theory on this bike so hopefully it will pay off in the end. I'm using the m-unit system they sell as well which should really tidy up the electrical system

Re: RD350 Project
Chronoclassic is the instrument setup I'll be using, has tacho, speedo, indicator lights and warning lights all built in. Here's a pic with the bracket a bit further along
