How do people dispose of their old helmets?

Just purchased a new helmet and was wondering what people do with their old ones? Tossing it in with the household rubbish doesn't sound good. While fiberglass isn't, polycarbonate and EPS are recyclable but would need to be separated. Reading on line people say donate them to first aid training but...

Re: Paintin Exhaust Pipes.

I've been using VHT clear on my mild steel Jolly moto chambers since I've had them and I have to re-coat them yearly and I'm done with it, going to black. Asked a motorcycle painter friend if there was a 2 pak heat proof paint he said use caliper paint in a spray can, it also comes in satin black wh...

By the way, what tab are you trying to repair, and what bike??

Dave
RZ500, a mid fairing tab that takes one of the belly pan screws.

Looks like he has an open day coming up. Hmmmm.

Re: I'm still buzzing

Yep, Guzzi rider is a lot better than me.
No licence burning yet Ozzy.
Just looked it up and yep someone has counted them, the Reefton spur has 185 bends in 19 K's.
Sorry to hear about the breakdown Jeff, you put carbs back on the 500? Yes?

Re: I'm still buzzing

RGV front end and a '98 R6 swingarm with a GSXR 1100 rear wheel.

The GSX 14 struggled being very top heavy but the Griso and the RZ couldn't be separated.

I'm still buzzing

Had the best ride I've had in years today, was out for about 8 hours, my self and a couple of buddies on their 4t's. You know those rare days on your favourite stretch of twisties, no cars to slow you down, the road's yours. You're pushing yourself to your limit and you're in a rhythm. Awesome. Cumb...

Re: RZ500 Tuning Tips

+1 on the carbs, also check the carb sync, if this is out even slightly it can cause your symptom from my experience.

Re: Australian Aftermarket RZ Fairings

I'm pretty sure that it was Racers Edge who use to make a fiberglass fairing for the square headlight model, not sure about the round model

Melb VJMC two stroke ride

Organised a two stroke ride with the VJMC last weekend, lots of 2t's in the club and great weather but only found three other takers. On the bright side all the bikes were RZs. http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h277/motorbator/Mobile%20Uploads/2015-03/20150329_100701.jpg http://i66.photobucke...

Re: LC Tuner/Repairer

I generally do all the work on my bikes myself so don't really know the going rate for bike shop service/repairs but $132/hour sounds extortionist.
