In principle yes, but I've never even seen a TDR. I s'pose if the VPVS controller default jumpering is as per the TZR then it's a fair bet they're in a similar state of tune and the mod should produce the same result.
Cheers

2MA wiring loom connectors
Hi, I'm trying to fit a 2MA CDI to a 1KT but the 1KT loom has different connectors. The 1KT has square (6way & 3way) connectors whereas the 2MA uses circular (4way & 3way) water proof connectors. I'd prefer to use std connectors if at all possible. So I'm hoping someone can help with sourcin...

Re: Yamaha YPVS controller modification
Controller modified as per the photos at this URL. http://s1379.photobucket.com/user/yamNoCam/library/?sort=3&page=1 The mod should change the PV operation range from approx 5850-10050 to 6000-8550 RPM. The bike does seem snappier partic 8-9k but hard to be sure; I believe this mod is supposed t...

Yamaha YPVS controller modification
Hi I'm wondering if any readers have modified PV controllers to adjust opening and closing RPM?
And if so could share details of their experience; in particular on a 1KT/2MA TZR, I hear that 6000->8600 is good for a 2MA?
Cheers

Re: TZR250 2MA or R1-Z wanted
Thanks, I'm a little excited, it's been a long time between 2strokes. Pic attached, (from Steve and as viewed in Japan) it looks OK to me, sure it's not perfect and it's been fiddled about with but to be expected it's 30yrs old.

Yeah I did. Steve was easy to deal with, we had a chat, he sent me a few photos, it looked OK and deal done.
