350LC Left or a set of Left and Right front calipers

A mate of mine who used to post here but cant seem to make it work now is looking for front brakes for an LC 350 he has almost built and wants to finish and ride. He needs the left caliper, but will also happily buy a set of both left and right calipers. Condition not important, does not need to be ...

Re: RE-introduction

Welcome back! Interesting, Id never seen of heard of these. Let us know what its like when you get it. I had a 250EXC KTM about 20 years back and it was a demon on the road. Too much power for its off road tyres and it ate it sprockets and even ripped them from the wheel, sheering the bolts. The FI ...

Re: RZ250 Rebuild!

This thread has spurred me on to contacting a crowd in the UK (Metal Magic at Heritage Motor Works) that do this sort of work and I am now contemplating taking my F2 tank over to them when I go over next month. I will post my experience on here if I go down that path. Not sure if costs yet but will...

That guy looks like he does amazing work.

This is Retro, you will struggle to get onto them as others have but maybe try ringing them, it will be under 1K i would think landed.

Re: RZ250 Rebuild!

Tank repair all depends on what is required and I bet if this guy has done a bunch recently then he will know what hes looking at. Looking at yours... Its hard to tell in your photos what yours needs, but i suspect its rotted out along the bottom edge on the side stand side. Usually on the outside f...

Re: RZ250 Rebuild!

LC2/F1/N1 are same, N2/F2 and LC are different.

Retro in Japan was making LC2/F1/N1 tanks.

Re: RZ250 Rebuild!

Welcome!

Build looks to be progressing which is great.

Hmm.... There are no 'mixed reviews' of Indian tanks. Its very clear cut. Do not waste your money.

Have a good read around this and other forums for good info on what to buy and what not to.

Re: New Melbourne member about to rebuild a 1981 RD250LC

Yes, Prox and TKRJ etc is fine for pistons and rods from yambits. I know some usa based crank guys who use the crank web parts from yambits, but not used them myself. your own parts should reuse if not totally screwed. see what Link says first perhaps. FWIW OEM gaskets tend to be ok prices in Aus, c...

Re: New Melbourne member about to rebuild a 1981 RD250LC

Im not sure how the Tyga pipes would perform as they are 350 pipes, but they could well be the bomb on a 250, I just dont know anyone who has tried any yet.

If you have a spare center stand going im all ears :)

Re: New Melbourne member about to rebuild a 1981 RD250LC

Welcome Jules, this is a quiet forum, but it is local :) Id say you will need to rebore and fit new pistons if youve seized it and assuming you want some longevity, the parts are not too exy really. Only buy OEM crank seals no matter what other advice you choose to ignore. Link on this forum is in v...

Re: Fork tube chroming

they have done a few sets for me Mark. They straightened the legs and removed the rust. The forks worked well enough when fitted. Completed date slipped a little. They will do a cashie if that helps lol
