Fork tube chroming
Hi folks, I am looking to get a pair of fork tubes re-chromed by A1 Hard Chrome.
Their website seems to suggest they know what they are doing but does anyone have any experience of their service?
TIA for any replies.

Re: Is there anybody out there?
Sadly I don’t have any 500 parts but will keep my eyes and ears open for you. It would probably be worth you signing up to the RDLC Crazy forum, as someone on there ought to be able to assist.

Re: Gotta get the old RZ500 back on the road!
A belated welcome to the forum Sean and great to hear that another one of these iconic machines is being resurrected. Whilst it won’t be a cheap exercise that prices of 500’s have gone ballistic, so you should have plenty of headroom and I am sure that there are more than a few of us who are wishing...

Re: Result
It’s amazing what turns up when you don’t expect it and there are still bargains to be found out there. I recently picked up a complete RD400 seat, tail fairing and side strips for very reasonable money so was absolutely stoked, although perhaps that was just Karma seeing as I had given my spare sea...

Re: RD/RZ Frame and Engine number questions
+2 for the JIS screwdrivers, wish I had discovered them back in the day, as they would likely have saved me a lot of cursing! You can buy the Vessel brand sets on EBay for very reasonable money and they typically include the Megadora impact screwdriver. I am now a subscriber to your You Tube channel...

Re: RD/RZ Frame and Engine number questions
AFAIK, up until around 1988, Yamaha engine and frame numbers should match and that’s definitely the case for any RZ’s I believe.
