Ha ha What was the packing like around the baffles? You may want to pull them out and check if it's an issue. The other thing is to check how qualified your friendly advice source was to make such a judgement - ie how many other GT185's has he heard to compare it too...... Personally I wouldn't worr...

Wierd request I know but my old man had these when he was young and I am keen to find one for him. They were common in the '50's and '60's so have to be around somewhere!

One thing it will not be is regulator rectifier. Check the lead from the alternator side of the crank which generates the spark. When my engine on my LB80 was done they didn't set it up properly so wasn't providing a pulse to the coil. I'd suggest sort out the kick start first then battery start. Bu...

Yes hopefully I can sort the clutch, not really a problem just seems like the cable is too long so I have everything adjusted to the max to get the clutch right. I had another fiddle last night so hopefully that will imporve it a bit. Not going to stop me riding it though.....
