Re: Help with yw100...

Glad to see you got it sorted Ajs, and I'd agree with GMU, persistance is the key to most of these things.

Re: The Wet Jackass

Yeas, I think there was a heavy cloud of red mist up front there. They should use some sort of code on the pit board in that scenario, like adding an extra "BOX' for each second per lap they're dropping. By the end Rossi's board would have been filled with BOX's and he might have got the bloody...

Re: The Wet Jackass

Haha. Poor old Jorje don't like the wet apparently. Good to see he has at least one Achilles heel. Yeah, Marquez's tyre change was inspired, and very well riden. It out foxed the entire field but all the other front runners stayed out way too long. F1 relies on the same sort of calls every week and ...

Re: The Wet Jackass

Yep. I've been shocked!

I've knocked him relentlessly for the last 2 years and I've had to eat all my words over the last 2 rounds.

It's a shame it didn't rain earlier in the season. He might have ended up with Vinales seat for next year.

Re: Help with yw100...

Start with the manual and a test light/multimeter. http://www.manualslib.com/manual/597202/Yamaha-Bws-Yw100e.html#manual There is apparently a fuse near the battery somewhere, although you would imagine the shop would have checked it. Check its operation with a test light though. It sounds like a co...

Re: NBN - Who has It? - Is Its Worth IT?

Yeah, I take your point Hyby. I think the unfortunate reality is that the whole project was so hopelessly politicised from the outset that it never really had a chance. Infrastructure projects of that magnitude and importance should be placed above the fray of right/left politics and be delivered by...

If you take Ziggy Switkowski's word for it rather than Mike Quigly, which I don't, but it is kinda the point I was making.

Re: NBN - Who has It? - Is Its Worth IT?

4G is faster than my cable at home when it works - it's not a bad technology at all. In flat expansive rural areas it's a good option. Why they go that way is simple. It's much cheaper than running fibre to those areas. Labor was never going to run fibre everywhere either. Its just not feasible. Ac...

Re: NBN - Who has It? - Is Its Worth IT?

Fibre!? (to either house or node). You guys are bloody lucky. The whole NSW North Coast is being done with wireless towers. They've stuck one about a Klm up the road from my house, but without line of sight, it wont work. Why they would even try wireless is one of the most forested, hilly areas of t...

Re: Brains in the Toolbox.....

Outrageous video. I'd be dead before Bradden Bridge every lap at that pace.

TT week! It's just about the best part of (our) winter. I saw Kate's Cottage advertised for sale somewhere the other day. About 350000 quid. Be a bargain if you were filthy rich and had too much money.

Re: RD350 TR3 Replica

Cheers BRG. Yeah, slowly but surely getting along. Little parcels keep arriving at the Post Office from all over the planet and piece by piece, its all starting to add up. I met up with Pat (EPA Police from here) at the Barry Sheene Festival and as well as ogling over his gorgeous pair of TZ's, I co...

Re: Flow management through reeds

Hahaha

I spent about 14 hours stuck in the transit lounge at Moscow airport in about 1985. I'm pretty sure that we cant even begin to imagine what it might have been like to live through that era.....

Wow, 1957.... I always thought that stuff was still Top Secret in '57. "KadencyEffect" with a K. haha. Walter Kaaden was still working in a little shed out the back of MZ at that stage. They hadn't even been to the TT until '58 so writing that in '57 was pretty forward looking stuff. Kaade...

Re: Removing oil Injection. Ds7 r5 etc

Hopefully arrow will be along to fill us in, but your right, by the time the RDs arrived, they used different pump ratios for the 250/350. Not sure about the R5/DS7. A check of the online parts listing at Partzilla would show you. Probably wouldn't prove too difficult to track down an R5 pump? Easie...
