Re: suter 580cc 2 stroke isle of man 2016

It seemed like the end of the 2 stroke era was a little premature. There was clearly a lot of development going on and a breakthrough was inevitable but I guess it was too little, too late. They'd been on notice since the LC era.....

Be very interesting to see how it goes.

Eskil reckons they have the fuel injection and emissions all sorted? Hmmm. That was a conundrum that sent the likes of Bimota broke. I hope he's onto it!

Re: Here's an Odd One for Your 2T Collection.

Best looking ETZ I've ever seen. Deluxe model huh? Flanged Akronts, Brembo front, special tank and seat. If they'd made them like that earlier, they'd have sold like hot cakes. A good mate of mine had an earlier one about 20 years ago and despite riding it from Sydney to the north coast! reckons it ...

Re: RZ500 Tuning Tips

Paypals buyer protection has saved me once before...... International transactions I'm pretty happy to use their system and pay the fees. It's basically an insurance. I wanted some RD stuff out of India recently but the seller wanted to do it off eBay. When I weighed up the crap quality and risk of ...

Haha.

I usually use my iPad and the font was unreadable without zooming, but now it loads the whole page and I can actually read it. Woohoo.

Hopefully, it will automatically sign me in now, which it had stopped doing.

Re: Ongoing Saga of the LC Electrical Gremlin

Yup So the red and black from the generator is the one that has the current on kick over. The white ones (three of them) go to the right point and the red white one is the rectifier wire that connects with it's cousin. So Hybrid what did you find with yours? I think you'll find that the red/white i...

If your testing with a multimeter your detecting voltage rather than current, which you would measure by putting your probes in series, rathe...

Re: 1959 Maicoletta 2 stroke scooter.

It does look in remarkably nice nick though. The sidebar was just as interesting. 6k for an old Puch and a 58 Vespa 150 sprint for $11k! I had an early 60s 150 Sprint in the '80s that I paid 300 bux for, registered and rode it for nearly a year (I'd quit my job and was skint) then on sold to a mate ...

Re: Ongoing Saga of the LC Electrical Gremlin

I can remember scratching my head over that LC wiring diagram 20 years ago. It's bloody hopeless. Have you checked continuity of each conductor on the 3 connector blocks coming from the engine? Just because they're connected doesn't mean they're conducting. Jam a multimeter probe down the back of ea...

Re: Interstate Freighters.

I think I was stuck behind that lady's sister at my local last week..... Incredible. Nah, you don't get that at Fastways. I got a PO note today to go to my local Mail Centre to pick up a "bulky" parcel. I reckon a TR3 fairing, screen, brackets and a couple of mudguards and sundries would b...
