Ok so on further reading.. and chatting to a mate who knows a fair bit bout exhausts and gas flow.. the rings are purely for sound, sound waves want to travel outwards but gas stays pretty central..so the rings quiet the pipe without restricting the gas flow.. however the mesh, which is on the side ...

I found waht i was looking for.. even though the part numbers are different on each pipe which was the thrower.. there is a "0" stamped on the back side of the mounting hanger on the exhaust, this will indicate that its a 350 pipe.. as luck would hve it i have the "0" stamped on ...

Well as it would turn out i have one 250 and one 350 stock exhaust.. apart from the part number, are they different physically they look to be exactly the same..any help would be great thanks

I have done the cut and gut a couple of times before..im not sure its worth the effort..also the shape is fine..its simply the header flange is too big and mounting holes to far apart, i could make em from scratch but if i could get air cooled ones and weld on it would be much easier

Well this project doesnt look like a stock rd350 anymore..he he..i have mocked it up to my setup and i thought they looked good to me but more importantly how does it perform with the lc pipes over stock..and "jungle engineered"..??

The rg conversion is so much easier and they are easier to get hold of..a tzr has a fantastic motor..

Im after a set of air cooled pipes i really just want the headers to fit to a set of lc pipes..hoping to find a rusty or damaged pair for cheap
