Re: OMG WHID
Well what have I done! I know it's not quite the biz for this forum, being euro, but at least it's a smoker... Been trying to prize this old Trials Bultaco out of me mate in Perth for some years. All matching numbers, turns over smoothly, all gears good, pretty complete and original 1968 - 71 M49 Sh...

Re: Nice LC (Ebay).....
Antman, to be honest, I wouldn't do 'outside' jobs, because I take too much time over it! Captain slow regarding paint jobs! Just not a viable thing for me apart from doing my own bikes and maybe mates 'love-jobs'. I'm sure you know what it's like... -When I was building my house my good ol' chippy ...

Re: Nice LC (Ebay).....
I take your point Jon,- appreciate your opinion mate. Quoting me: ..."So the other paint, frame, tank etc is factory original..." Luckily for me I can spray a good professional-standard finish, so it has occurred to me that maybe I should paint the plastics back to the original colours, bu...

Mine is on Gumtree, and It's on this forum 'Bikes for sale'.
I haven't really 'aggressively' promoted it though.

Re: Nice LC (Ebay).....
"Matching numbers genuine Oz bikes will always be the holy grail as far as return on investment goes" So why aren't lads scratching at my door to get a dead original VGC unrestored (apart from refinished plastics) excellent running RZ (matching numbers) at a reasonable price? -It IS a YPVS...

Re: RZ350 Hybrid
When a bike looks THIS good, it doesn't need stickers to distract the eye from it's excellent lines.

Re: How much then?
Well to be honest I did't much fancy the red and black colour scheme, (whilst I do like the red frame colours),and I had this nice metalflake silver in stock. I spent the time and effort properly reinforcing the plastics and 'smoothing' so it would be a cinch to repaint -all the hard work is done. B...

Re: How much then?
Yes, swings and roundabouts maybe. But the following?... "I would suggest a complete strip down and rebuild of the motor." "Master cyclinders (sic) would need rebuild and so would calipers wheel bearings and swingarm bushes." "With all the above work needed doing you would a...

Re: Back Again
Yeah, get one that doesn't need restoring and doesn't need 'big work'.
(I like 'super clean', sorted, original bikes that are unrestored, -original down to the fasteners).

Re: Watch out for Australian Customs
I've been told by a bloke who knows (connected to a major manufacturer) that customs are having a blitz on asbestos content on imported bikes and parts at the moment. Many countries have no restrictions on asbestos content - in brakes, gaskets etc as Jon says. Apparently one importer is dropping out...
