Re: Paintin Exhaust Pipes.
I think VHT is designed to be used straight on to the metal without primer,- if you used a primer it would need to be VHT too eh? or it will just flake off with the heat. Ceramic coating is good but expensive, and I've known a few lads who've done that but only got a year or three before rusting sta...

Re: Rz rear shock upgrade.
Haha, I was almost as quick 'round the Island on my RZ as I was on my 750 Slabbie! -Def not a yardstick for good handling as standard that gixxer.
(Not saying I was quick though!!)

Re: Rz rear shock upgrade.
What bike is it Dave?
You say for RZ but then later you refer to ("...later model shocker option...") referring to the DeCarbon LC type.
I'm confused!

R6 shock worked well for me. Cost about $150, minor easy adaption to fit.

Re: Mikuni choke problem
More information required: You say the revs rise when you put the choke on when warm: at tickover only? or with throttle opened? Have you tuned the pilot jet/tickover screws to get the mixture right at tickover? Have you pulled down and thoroughly cleaned the carb? Checked if it has standard jet siz...

There are a couple of outfits who supply what you need, the catch is that they're UK suppliers. Examples: vehicleproducts.co.uk
autoelectricsupplies.co.uk

Well, rattlecan paints are absolute crap. I suppose they have their place... If you just want to blow over something to con the next unfortunate owner, ok. But if you want a paint that is tough and resilient, you need powder coat or 2K. Tip: if you want a silver or black colour (there are other colo...

The ironic thing is Ged, that the very Orwellian thing you're scared of (and we all should be), is well served by 18C. Orwell's genius was seeing that if you can control language, you control thought, -He called it 'newspeak'. 18C controls language. The other thing that strikes me about all this is ...

Re: GT500 First Test Ride
The original 'burnt orange' colour looks really good. Striping is dead easy using tape. The black oil tank and sidecover are right for a B model, the previous A model had these coloured as fuel tank. I'm sure you know that the guards were chrome originally... good ones would be pretty hard to find! ...

The authorities have been wised-up to this and it won't be happening any more.EPApolice wrote:I was told in Victoria the bike only has to be a replica to get club rego so there are 2016 model Triumph's and other retro brands on club rego. Now that is a different level again.
