I'll have a look.
In the meantime, I assume that being one of the most resourceful people on here, you already know about Key Trader in the UK?

Watching with interest. I might have some 86 wheels if needed.

Re: Yamaha making RDLC tanks
Hope they do the F2 tanks too. If the market prices make it worth tooling up for the offset tanks, then I can't see why they wouldn't also do the '86 onwards also

Re: Yamaha making RDLC tanks
I can't see any link to the news coming from Yamaha. All I can find in the article is: Reproduction production at exterior manufacturing department, which leads me to think whoever produces Norbo's tanks has expanded their enterprise, unless one of you eagle eyed folk can see otherwise. Re: Exhaust crush washers
No good. Tried the local bike shops and MCA. Ordered from partzilla with another wait. I'm actually getting used to the wait times now. Just starting the parts list for the 500.

Re: Rubber headlight cover for rectangular yamaha 250/350/500 ypvs model
Any suggestions on what product would remove the black gunk but not melt the plastic surround? I've seen your write up on using MEK which I've used previously. Good stuff but will eat almost anything non-metal. Maybe thinners or carb cleaner?

Re: Rubber headlight cover for rectangular yamaha 250/350/500 ypvs model
Quick update on this. Seems they are no closer to landing. Not much detail given. I found somewhere to get them made but does this offside Norbo if I try to sell them to recoup some of the outlay?

Re: Exhaust crush washers
After spending the last two years scouring the globe for parts, it didn't even cross my mind that they would be still available at a simple bike shop. I didn't think they used them any longer. Will call a few shops and report back. Thanks

Exhaust crush washers
Hi, Just after the copper crush washers for the exhaust (29l-14613-00) from an RZ 250/350. There are plenty overseas but I'm trying to shortcut the system and get some earlier than the usual 10 day wait if possible. If you have stock that you don't want to sell, maybe let me have 'em and I'll replen...

Re: '86 250 YPVS Restore
I did most of my work with the bike on the centre stand, but doing the brakes i found the side stand with the hard left turn had the MC at its highest and best level. If I was going to revisit the side and centre stand black, would you paint or powder coat? I found the rattle can black I used on the...

Re: '86 250 YPVS Restore
I did try that trick after reading about it. I used a quick grip but it didn't work. I left it for 24hrs. Maybe the air was stuck? I don't recommend my method though. 6 weeks is simply too long to wait.

Re: '86 250 YPVS Restore
Nice job Gavin, great looking bike and this thread has inspired me to get serious about restoring my 1WT 350F2, as that will be a real rocket ship! Enjoy riding your lovely RZ. Rgds Ozhammer Thanks Ozhammer. Originally I wanted the 350 F2 but found the 250 and 500 came up first. One day I'll pick u...
