DS7/R5 wanted

I am looking for a DS7 or an R5 to build into a race bike. I don't really care about the condition just to get as much of a bike as I can. DS6 or DS5 would also be considered but would be the second choice.
Cheers Pat

Re: RZ250 Clutch slipping

Use mineral oil not synthetic, I use the cheapest Castrol stuff I can find and don't suffer clutch slip any more. You can also put another washer behind the bolt holding the spring, I don't just mineral oil.

Re: RZ500 Tuning Tips

You should really be investing in a strip down if its done 50K unless you know how many ks on the pistons etc and are willing to believe the person telling you that information. If I am not mistaken then 30k is all the main bearings are good for before they start to self destruct. The 500 is actuall...

Re: A/C L/C RG RZ and others parts for sale

I'm in Sydney, I do have RD forks but they are rusted heavily, repairable but at the moment not useable No RZ forks but I have a swing arm and rear shock and again boxes of parts and no idea what's in them until I look. I have some KR stuff, clocks, coils, CDIs, 3x barrels needing a clean up, one he...

Re: bore or not to bore?

Be careful with those pistons, my mate bought some and the thing rattled its head off. Turned out the pistons were stamped .5 but were actually way under size.

Re: 73 RD250

Are you sure that's not a 72, the 250 came out in 72 with the drum front and changed to the disc in 73. This is a cause of a fair few arguments regarding the release date and some even saying they never had a drum front but your bike and mine prove the point.

Re: Historic Rego NSW changes...

The VJMC state you must have personal insurance also. The club has its own insurance of course which will also cover it and some clubs don't require you to have your own insurance but the VJMC do. For the price it should not really be an issue anyway. The club don't make you display your bikes Jon b...

Re: Historic Rego NSW changes...

This is a great scheme for the simply reason if you have say two or three bikes on historic rego that means 60 days for each machine plus all club organised rides and club invited rides. That would mean about 100 days of rides a year for each bike. The old system was a pain in the ass and as a resul...

Re: MotoGP Malaysia....

Two problems here that I see 1 Australia is too far away from everywhere else so nobody outside Australia really cares what happens here 2 Nobody goes to watch bike racing even the ASBK or FX series get very few spectators and club level gets none at all. If you are in Europe where the weather is sh...
