Re: RZ250 main jet size

Brainfade, sorry. It's an '84 model of course. Oz market, Pre power jet. I have a Haines manual but it's for RZ350 only. I'm running 180mj (I have 155mj that I could try) Also, float height... I set mine to 21mm but that was referring to the later 350 carb specs so could be wrong, any ideas on this?...

RZ250 main jet size

In my efforts to pin this RZ250 down perfect... (it's running pretty nicely, but I'm still chasing a slight lack of power under load at WOT - feels 'heavy' - sound rich to you?). Thinking maybe I need to change the main jet. It pulls cleanly through the gears. Smokes a bit when cold but no smoke whe...

Re: Photobucket

I can't believe that they've been SO stupid!
In one stroke they have just trashed their brand, everyone despises 'bucket now, for good reason.
The brand manager should be shot. (Or maybe there is some other more devious marketing plan behind it all, but really, I doubt that they're that clever!)

Re: Carby Body Cleaning.

James sorry if I sounded offensive. Don't take it all too personally. Each of us has our strengths, weaknesses and talents. And our own valid point of view. Nowadays we're surrounded by all sorts of 'restored' machinery that is the result of deep pockets, not the result of deep effort. It's reflecte...

I think Ultrasonic cleaners are only as good as the 'pickle' solution you use.

Re: RZ250 won't pull under load.

Well, it turned out to be one carb slide had dropped of it's cable. Horrible little spring clips on the slides lost their tension, so I just re-tensioned them. But I wouldn't have expected my symptoms with one slide not moving, or perhaps somehow a venturi effect pulled it up once the other cylinder...
