Re: Sleeving RZ Powervalve bores?

Leaded bronze would be the best material self lubricating. I would be inclinded to machine the PV end and shrink fit a bronze bush on that and not touch the cylinder. It could be scotch keyed in place. That is the least amount of machining and each bush could be machined to fit the size of the bore.

Re: "reunited and it feels so good" ....

Note that master cylinder bore size can make a big difference. Reducing the size from 12.7mm (half inch) to 12mm on the TDR gave both me and David R one second reduction in lap times around Wakefield. Wow... who would have thought that would make such a difference? Smaller bore makes greater pressu...

Re: MotoGP Malaysia....

I think people can say what they like about Rossi, he certainly has planty of haters as well as supporters, but he really showed his class last night and realistically without him in the championship it would be a complete Spanish benefit and that is a complete aberration that should never have bee...

Re: MotoGP Malaysia....

ALL of Rossi's titles have been won with a significant points advantage (45 being the closest) only other tight title chase was 2006. For someone who was supposed to be a master of mind games the outburst and brain explosion on the track were the stuff that 11yr olds make. His pants were on fire wh...

Re: MotoGP Malaysia....

Mike Webb was being diplomatic dividing blame, stopwatch tells a different story which is Rossi's fastest laps were racing with Marquez. Consistently a half a second slower if he was "held up' the stop watch would show it. Rossi had a brain explosion and it started on thursday. Those with long ...

Re: Nitrogen in tyres? NSFW

During the "Ferari-gate" saga a bit of info came out about the gas they were using in their tyres. Was a combination of CO2, Nitrogen and R232 refrigerant. The gas stopped tyre performance drop off that year Ferrari got 2-4 laps more from a set of tyres. But yes old mate nailed it
