I went along to their last one.. it was a pretty good morning.
My 500 won scariest 2stroke

There were some Kawasaki H's there that I thought would have been scarier to ride because of their handing and brakes.

I am going over tomorrow and taking my NS400 that I just got on the log book scheme today. I haven't ridden the bike for over 12 months so it will be good to get the old girl back out.

I arrived about midday Saturday to discover mine was only the second two-stroke (the RZ already parked outside might have been the shop's). There was only a handful of punters, mostly riding late-model cruisers.
The guy behind the counter initially gave me a blank look when I asked about the Two-Stroke Day, only to tell me a couple of seconds later that the event was taking place on Sunday! Serves me right for not reading all the info on the shop's web-site where the event was advertised    .

It wasn't a total waste - I did manage to amuse some of the punters who had never seen a "racing Lambretta" before  .

Regards,
James

Yes there were a few mistakes made. On the website is says Saturday then Sunday then Saturday and I got the info from the VJMC site which also said Saturday. I didn't get there anyway today so its all the same to me really.

Surfside had another show on Sunday for Fathers day. Pretty big crowd turned out and a wide selection of bikes parked up some of which were dangerously badly built but still registered on historic plates. I didn't stay for the prize giving so don't know who won what. Apart from having to wait for an hour for a toasted sandwich it was a good morning.

EPA, which of the bikes were dangerously built?
I know a group of fellas went from the Sydney Smokers facebook group.

Would be interested to know which bikes you thought that of. I was meant to go for a ride up bells with one of them, but he didn't make it because his bike was making a funny noise. Turns out that one of the front disks was scraping on the caliper

There was an RZ350 made to look like a TZ with twin spot lights and that thing is a death trap and how it got registered is a complete mystery. I have seen this before and was amazed that someone could who clearly lacks even basic skills with the tools got this far in life. As for historic registration total bullshit and dickheads like this are going to ruin the system for everyone else. I am far from an anorak but don't take the piss.

That happens to be the bloke I'm talking about EPA.
It's not "made to look like" - apparently it's a TZ with RZ350 engine in it.

Aside from the wheels not being set up properly - what else did you notice?

My bikes aren't perfect, so I try not to judge
I think there is a ride up to Wyee this weekend, but not sure if I'm going. If I do I will check it out.

Sorry for having a less than positive opinion on this, it's worth nothing to anyone really, but-

"this one certainly ticks the right boxes."

Would strongly disagree!

Those headlights look like he was thinking of a slab side GSXR and just couldn't get his head around making it work, so just drilled them on the front!

"but I have a strong stylistic requirement to my bikes. They have to be unique and this one certainly ticks the right boxes. I get a lot of attention from other road users. "
