Hello from rgvmad

Post by rgvmad »

Hello Im a suzuki rgv250 mad enthusiast and a 2 stroke lover from my teens ,I cut my teeth as a newbie on a PE250 ,then an RG250 we1 followed by and RGV250L Road and race then a RZ500 before I went over to 4 strokes . Now I have my RGV250 VJ22 91 in full track mode, lighter but still stock. My mate has 2 others 1 stock and 1 semi tricked.
Recent outing for me was Broadford and my RGV's first outing after a delayed but enjoyed 11 year build. I was in heaven and felt like a teen again ( reminded the next morning rudly im mid 40's ).
Look forward to chatting .

RGV's are a fine thing. I wish I had of ridden one in my youth. Most of the older farts here cut our teeth on older machines, some as old as the first air cooled 2 strokes, others grew up on the LC evolution. Personally my first ride was an RD250LC, then an RG250 but the first bike I owned was an RZ.
With the popularity of the "LC's" propped up by the likes of RDLC Crazy and other USA based aftermarket suppliers you tend to find a lot of the chatter here about Yamaha's.

Don't be discouraged, we love the pictures and words relating to the RGV and other newer machines like Aprilias and there are a few that are really knowledgable and helpful.

Welcome.

I was on holiday! Got back last night!
Welcome!
All these strokers are great, RGV's a thoroughbred.
I'm an RZ tragic, but love them all.
Ex UK, now in Adelaide. LC250/350. DT175. Shed full of sh1t in the vague form of dismantled rusty RD’s and RZ’s.
