resto of rd250lc

Post by rdrob »

Hi for those that are interested I have started on the restoration of the 250lc. I have been collecting a few parts first but now the rebuild begins.
Next week the frame is off to the painters decided on paint as that's how there were from new.
Here's some pictures so far was a bit slack taking them as it went apart the tank was dipped as it did have rust beginning inside but came back perfectly clean and they coat it inside as well to prevent further rust forming was so happy not a dent in the tank so repaint will be a easy process.
The wheels were my first clean up so there ready when the frame comes back oh they are a huge job many years of tyre levers but happy with the result here's the front wheel.
Here's some pictures so far not all the NOS parts as some are at work the speedo & tacho were a nice find will finish off the rebuild I think.

Fantastic, will look forward to seeing your progress :-)
Ex UK, now in Adelaide. LC250/350. DT175. Shed full of sh1t in the vague form of dismantled rusty RD’s and RZ’s.
