Just reciprocating Darwin.

I am trying to keep this build within realistic costs by avoiding over-priced items and tools you will only use once or twice, and never see value in buying them.

Sure my bikes may not win concours prizes, but most blokes will say f##k that's a pretty cool old bike, and be proud to say that I (re)built it.

I agree with your approach Dave. I have a certain circle of friends over here with much the same attitude.
One particular guy is an inspiration, to the point where if someone is getting hung up on something the expression "what would Roy do?" is brought up.
Roy's ability to cut through bullshit and just do what works, or is necessary but not more, is kegendary.
Ex UK, now in Adelaide. LC250/350. DT175. Shed full of sh1t in the vague form of dismantled rusty RD’s and RZ’s.

By the way, what tab are you trying to repair, and what bike??

Dave
RZ500, a mid fairing tab that takes one of the belly pan screws.

Looks like he has an open day coming up. Hmmmm.

Matt,
Used the powder and liquid to rebuild a few tabs on my bikes. Hard to tell they have been repaired. Takes a few days to harden properly.

See that you are a welder...mate you won't have an issue using this stuff. As you well know prep is the key.
