Post by deviot »

Hi all!

Recently picked up a 1975 RD350 and on the quest for a new exhaust. Open to all different types just depends on the condition and price however wanting to keep the stock pegs and would something preferably of the era.

Let me know if anybody has anything gathering dust in there garage - happy to pay for postage.

Cheers,

Finding anything for a 75 RD is fraught with difficulties  And you can multiply that by a factor of ten for specialised aftermarket goodies  - but with patience you might try EvilPay.

However, you might be better off having something custom made. There is Lozza on this forum with the tag of 2t institute who is very knowledgeable about all things 2t and is a fair hand at making bespoke pipes. I don't want to speak for him but he has a rep for being reasonable and $400-500 might be ballpark.

Lozza is at Newcastle and might require the bike for that bespoke fit. Lozza might also give you some porting and other tuning tips to compliment and maximize the pipes to meet your intended use.

I hope this helps, good luck :) .

Thanks for the tip I'll pm Lozza. In the mean time back to my daily ebay searching!

Devon, if you do get a set of performance pipes,
you might just want to ditch the stock foot-peg unit,
as it runs under & around the stock pipes..
..& scrapes on the ground, limiting cornering clearance..
