VJ21 triple clamps

Post by eastoegp »

Hi all.
I just found this forum after a random search for TZ mufflers.
I've recently bought almost 2 VJ21 RGV250's in poor condition with the idea of preparing one for New Era racing with PCRA and them maybe put the other on the road eventually.
The steering stem is bent so am after a bottom triple clamp or a complete set.
I also noticed how heavy the bottom clamp is.
Has anyone seen a pair of lightwight triple clamps for the conventional forks of the VJ21?
thanks Richard

Not sure about tripple clamps, but TYGA have a few 'light' bits for the vj21.

any other bikes from that era use the same size forks?
gsxr400?
gsxr750/1100

if so, there will most likely be yokes available for these and you could try to adapt?

other than that, find someone who can speak japanese.. because Im sure you will be able to find what you need in japan :D
the following 4T propaganda was brought to you by your local 2T lobby group...

"whats that youve got there?... a 450? "
yeah...
"what cereal packet did that come out of? "
huh?...
"I just wanted to know, because theres nothing worse than finding a piece of shit in the bottom of your corn flakes. "
