RG400/500 SLEEVES

Post by HM31A »

anyone done this conversion - replaced the 400 sleeves with the 500 5 port sleeves

would like to know how the old sleeves come out!

are they to be machined out or will they press out?

cheers in advance

wheels999 got this conversion done in the US a while ago.
I think the 400 with 52mm kart pistons and a triple exhaust port would be the go, with a nicasil liner. I just have to be sure removing the desaxation is OK?

Go on the RG forum and its all there. I think its actually a 490 or 470 conversion or something like that and you need to machine the top crankcase to take the bigger barrel if you go the other way. I cant remember now but have a look at this link its there somewhere http://www.rgv250.co.uk/forums/
