Ant, you don't happen to have a spare slide from a KR1 carb do you?

BTW, if you come across another set, let me know... I wouldn't mind another set.

I wouldn't use RZ500 forks... they have anti-dive in them from standard and they are horrible things!

You could also consider looking at older RGV forks. They are still conventional forks, so they don't look too out of place, and then you have the twin pot brakes. All you need is a 5mm spacer under the bottom bearing and they go straight in. Obviously you need to work out a way to mount the clocks etc though.

Just got back from riding the 500... looks like I have fixed the fuel vapourising, but its still horrible in traffic. I think I'm going to switch to carbs, then I can use the Microsquirt for my mustang.

So who now wants the carbs?

Id like to just go for the same set up as Hybrid it seems easier to install,so I need the Vcdi and controller is that right Hybrid and I retain the Lc cdi?

Doco go for the Rz front end Its more than capable of doing the job it bolts straight in and clocks mount up same as Lc.

You retain the LC discs use R1 calipers with adapter plates and use the R1 master cyclinder, not discounting the benefits of Rgv they are good to but if you go Rz then you also use the LC front wheel.

Go RGV then different front wheel so if your a anorak then you will head down the road of changing the rear to match.

Doco re forks

84-85 is the year you want as the caliper mounting holes are the same as Lc and this is what you want for the adapter plates for R1 calipers.

You can also get proggressive springs for them.

Youre welcome to come and have a look and see what ive done, although not as impressive as hybrids mods.Ive used mods that are reversable so if I decide to sell its just a matter of bolting on the stock parts the only mod done which Isnt is the braced rear swinger however Ive got a spare one.

Whos interested in a ally box swinger Ive got a guy interested in making them and I can use my spare as a jig.
