Ha ha ha!
What he said!
JC on a bike, get your toys in now, change the padlock on the garage, forget getting into any new projects and get the snip while you can :-)

Nice Mustang, BTW.
Don't let the Missus convince you to sell it ;-)

The Mrs loves Mustangs - it should be staying.

She rides the LC too, but there's less chance of her riding than me as of very soon!

Worst case, I just won't re-register. Selling a bike isn't really going to help anything other than short term anyway.

Hilarious thread hijack! Having kids is like having a metal bucket on your head with someone whacking it with a wooden spoon while you're trying to ride a unicycle.
Enjoy >:-)

Ha Lozza and Darwin spot on. I've just gotta laugh at how similar this is.
My wife loved the bikes "before" kids too, but then.......Short term becomes very relevant all of a sudden and things sitting in the garage become less relevant rego'd or not.... took me over 15 years to get back in the saddle and even now its still a battle.
I love the idea of changing the lock on the garage, cracks me up...

Sorry Jeram...but it is funny

Just a little update:

its been a busy few weeks but I've had a little time to do some jobs on the bike.

I refurbished the rear subframe last week which including removing it from the bike, stripping the paint, removing rust, prepping the surface and painting it with a rubberized paint.

I then moved onto mounting the fairings which included ordering new fairing mount brackets, making a belly pan widener using sheet aluminium, and making a front subframe.

The front subfame was made from 10x1 aluminium tubing that I fabricated to fit.

Photos:

the bike looks phat without the seat unit on.

Im now just waiting for a local machinist to make me a few small components, then all the bike needs to be 100% ready to race is Paint, powervalve linkages and the rear caliper sorted.

Fairing mounts are all finished now, The fairing is now incredibly stable now that there is a piece of 25mm aluminium tube bolted to the front of the nose cone.

I just need to do some heat insulating on the inside of the fairings so that the fiberglass and paint isnt damaged in the future.

And finally I wired up the servo motor and throttle position sensor yesterday.

So pretty much all that is left to do is the rear caliper bracket, paint, dyno tuning and the long awaited track test!
Getting very close now, we're aiming to have her on the dyno before Australia day!
