Well, I dread to open a piston debate, but who makes Yamaha pistons, and what does everyone think of Wossners?

Wossner's QC has dropped dramaticaly . Most Japanese OEM pistons are made by ART which ProX is their retail brand.

I ask because my RZ is in need of an imminent rebore and around here Wossners are what are offered.

I just had my RZ rebored for some Wiseco's I bought from the USA.

Its now on 1.5 O/S. Once you get over 1.0 you are limited in choice.

There are some coated pistons from the USA that I have used on my race bikes in the past which I wanted but they only go up to 1.0mm over and they are a very good price compared to the Wiseco's, which even come in their own little bags

Lovely looking piston but as a forged item they need another 0.001" clearance, which it says on the box.

I guess that extra clearance is what explains peoples comments about WiseCo's rattling until warmed up
