Mr Police,
I will need some parts, not sure exactly what yet, RG mirrors and a screen for starters, a little cover on the motor, random bits.

No bodywork or mirrors I'm afraid but heaps of random bits. I bought up all the stock a wrecker had when he closed up a few years ago. Let me know what you need when you find out. Old gold motorcycles have Mk1 body work out there

Pkay, did you buy the RG?
If its a nice Jap market one with twin discs I'd be tempted.

I keep seeing mark1 tail sections on "mark 2" 1984 bikes, I am assuming this is just people swapping bits around, or was there some mixy-matchy out of the factory? Seems unlikely, idle speculation.

Ive noticed mark1 tail sections on "mark 2" 1984 bikes as well. I think UK Mk2 bikes retained the Mk1 tail, but Japan and Oz models got the gsxr style taillight. Not sure about rest of world.
Heres a pic..
Ps. mine has a Mk1 white tank, should be dark blue.

Any pictures of yours yet Mr BRG?

Cheers

Mine's like your picture, only scruffy. Bodywork not as nice as I'd thought, will go down to Japanese Motorcycles in Adelaide and see if they have any good panels.
I need to set up a Photobucket account so we can all compare notes. Will get onto it over weekend.

I really regret selling my HB replica, it was my first road bike back in '86.
Sold it to a mate who proceeded to destroy it, never sell things to a friend.

My mantra going forward s "never sell anything"!
Only just managed to get my basic two stroke set, RD, RZ, RG, they'll need a lt of work, and I won't get the chance again, so yes Matty, I can't imagine what I'd think if Isolde something to someone who proceeded to destroy it!

second one looks much nicer.
I know where someone has one just rusting and sun bleaching in their yard, damn shame, although it needs everything re-doing. I'd go after it but the Missus would NOT empathise with that sentiment.

The first one is a bit suss if you ask me. The seller claims the previous owner painted the original Walter Wolf that horrible blue colour, who in their right mind would do that and second if it was a Genuine Walter Wolf where is the WW on the clocks. That's a lot of effort and money to make a valuable WW into a that, half the price and then try again.

The latest Practical Sportsbikes magazine has a 4 page buyers guide on the RG250 for anyone interested.
