you talking about my bike I hope? :-)

not yet, but it turns over, will get a battery and plugs at the weekend I hope, try to start it.
was loosely assembled, someone had partially dismantled it then loosely reassembled it for ebay.
a few things need sorting out before I can start it. My pathetic excuse is wife and kids, never seem to have time until 11ish at night, fully occupied most weekends with kids, tasks and pregnant/dependant relatives! :-)
Pathetic, eh.
How do you get at all those smileys and emoticons?

Fingers crossed BRG, hope its all good engine wise! Sympathise with the lack of time to work on bikes, I bought a house last year and have so many fix up projects on the go that shed time is even harder to find! But the RG is coming to the front of the shed this weekend and definately going to allocate some time to it !
That rolling chassis is (was?) a yellow HB replica too!...what a shame.

Yeh, I had a RG500 as well in the 80's , a black,orange,white one....
I traded my Rg250 (blue)for it , it was as new ,less than one year old with about 4,500kms I think it cost around $3,200. Traded it one year later for a more practical FZ750. Idioooot !! :loopy: Given up on any ideas of getting another.

you're into serious money for the 500's now, its undeniable.
Managed to find a GSX headlamp that seems to be same glass as my holey RG one, result. And Japanese Motorcycles and Dismantlers have a number of minor bits I need, great, they're piling up on my little "reserve" pile down there :-)

I've got one - Mk 3 WW model that had had a wiring loom fire and was rebuilt by Matt here in Perth, in a spray can WW scheme. It runs OK - I think Matt freshened up the engine, but a lot of the peripherals could do with freshening up. Some proper fairing mounting brackets would be useful, as well.
I've got a rear seat cover, but, I think it's off an RG500 - it just doesn't quite fit - came of a Heron marked yellow RG by the looks of it.
