Does your wife realise you have a garage?

Re: RD350 Project
Haha going by the noise she made when she realised I was using the vacuum to clean up aluminium filings and welding mess I'm gonna say yes

Re: RD350 Project
get shop vac, aldi do one now n then for about $80, it will need you to add extra plastic (or alloy) plate to the end that runs over the floor if my experience is anything to go by tho after a few years, but they will all do that as the concrete floor 'sands' them away. my repaired one works well.
Re: RD350 Project
Yeah I saw supercheap have them for about that price in thier catalogue at the moment too and I've got a gift voucher so I might have to invest in one

Re: RD350 Project
I bet its the same Chinese unit, just rebranded etc. works fine saying that. I also use it to suck the dust from my small blasting cabinet.
Re: RD350 Project
Multi purpose object. You can get some nice fluffy dusters while you're at it...

Re: RD350 Project
Joking aside, depending what you do, having a second hand oven and other kitchen appliances in a garage isn't as crazy as it sounds.

Re: RD350 Project
Never thought of putting a dishwasher in the the shed but it could be handy haha, I would like one of those parts cleaning troughs though. The clean shed is probably a mixture of having the whole clean work area thing drummed into me at work all the time because I'm an aircraft mechanic and having a step father who's shed was always so dirty it took a days cleaning to be able to get a car in to service it haha

More power to you. My garage is the dumping zone for what wife doesn't want in the house if I let her get away with it.

Re: RD350 Project
Haha I built a garden shed for exactly that reason when we moved to the house we're in now

Re: RD350 Project
Back after a bit of a hiatus, not much progress has been made because I've been off gallivanting around the world with the wife which takes up all the time and money I have for projects lol. The bottom end of the engine is together now and I've just recently started doing the wiring and mounting up switches/lighting etc. Any ideas and opinions on here about carbs? I've never really fiddled with motorbike ones before and looking about on the internet has me struggling to decide between 28mm or 30mm and round vs flat?
