Always a struggle to find both the time no the money at the same time around Christmas.....

Bracket looks good. What's a Motogadget Chronoclassic?

Chronoclassic is the instrument setup I'll be using, has tacho, speedo, indicator lights and warning lights all built in. Here's a pic with the bracket a bit further along

Schweeeet! Matches the look of the TD/R/Z centre mounted tacho. Where did that come from?

Nice piece of gear. I nearly choked when I saw the price tag though!

A bit cheeky calling a digital clock a "chrono" though! Doesn't have a lot in common with an old Smiths chronograph. It certainly looks the part in this application though. I might have to start saving.....

Yeah the price tag definitely hurt but I'm going with the do it once do it right theory on this bike so hopefully it will pay off in the end. I'm using the m-unit system they sell as well which should really tidy up the electrical system

Motogadget makes some wonderful stuff, but if youve not bought already you might want to hold off until the x rate improves, assuming it will. a while back we were close to parity with the euro, now its back to almost 2 like it was in the early 2000s, sigh....

Yeah it definitely hurt, I bought it earlier last year. I think the conversion rate was a bit better then and you get 16% off that because we don't pay vat which helps

Thats good news, the rate was considerably better back then. Yes German sellers are my fave, their postage is usually reasonable, so long as they dont quote courier, and the tax saving often means you pay less than a German stood in their shop would, I bought a lot of Kedo parts that way for my XT500, tho that advantage is gone now that we have a kedo dealer in Aus now.

Yep. I can't see the $A improving any time soon..... My business is 100% import reliant and I was going broke before the exchange rate dropped 30%!

I just re read my post from the other day and notice I should have said "Chronometric" not chronograph! People like Omega make chronographs don't they Jon?

haha, they do... one or two at least haha.

The x-rate is a curse and also a bonus at times, parity with the USA was great for holidays, but sucked for selling stuff to them, now its close to 1.5 im sending stuff back that way.

Couldn't help loosely chucking the tank and seat on to see how things look when my clip-ons turned up today and to answer the obvious question, of course I climbed up there and sat on it haha
