Here is my project!
Not sure where to start. Doesn't run so im thinking with the engine is a good start!
Anyone know of any good mechanics or spare parts in Bris/Gold Coast?

Sam,

Have a look at:

http://www.kr-1s.co.uk/forum/

This forum has members from around the world and is probably the best source of info on the KR250 series road bikes.

How much do you want to spend? I have two of these and while as a two stroke you should be able to isolate the problem - fuel, air, spark, I'd strongly suggest you don't walk into a mechanics and say my bike wont start what's the problem........ At $80 an hour plus GST you'll be up for a big spend before you know it. However having said that I can ecommend either Northside Motorcycle Tyres and Service (Adrian and Mark are great guys and real bike entusiasts) but they are at Lawnton on the Northside. Other guy I'd recommend is Dave Quelch from Loganholme Mobile Motorcycle Mechanics - old school trained and comes to you. He has a $50 call out on top of the $80 an hour but is awesome as well and loves two strokes. He has tuned my RGV and RD250 and both start on the button. I'll be lining him up to do my RS250 soon as well. His number is 0412 153 397.

That's a KR-1 250 not a KR250.Stators and rec/reg's are a bit of an issue with these as well as the KIPS valves
