Gentlemen
I'm going to dig up the corpse again.
Just read Classic Bike and there's an interesting articule on Holtworks, an aluminium tank maker. Their gear is handcrafted limited run high quality.

Looking at their site they are willing to tool up for runs of 10 or more, and typical price range seems to be in the £450-£500 range - whatever the exchange rate is now, I don't know.

I emailed them, believing I cannot be the first to do so over RD and RZ tanks.
Not expecting a quick response but interested to research, will put result up if any response forthcoming.

Have a good weekend in the shed people.
