250 Gamma oil warning light.

Could someone please advise how much oil is left in the oil tank when the warning light activates. As the 250 RG Gamma doesn't have an oil "window" for the engine oil it may become a bit worrisome if by any chance my oil light malfunctions. Many thanks.

My rule of thumb was to always fill it as soon as practically possible, the worst 'could happen' if you let it go for too long.
If your out and staying out all day get whatever is first available, even if you are an oil snob :)

Oil lights are pretty reliable, I have never had one fail. There's no window on RZ or RD AFIK either, just make sure it's working then rely on it with periodic checks determined by klm's traveled.

you can pull the side panels on the LC and RZ... but yes no window as such, you could always cut one I guess LOL

I always felt 2T oil lights were like oil lights on old cars... you want to make sure you never see one...

I reckon my LC has close to a full fuel tank worth of oil in it when the light comes on.

I stand somewhere between Greasy and Jon, I'd regard an oil light a bit like a "near miss" incident, ho ho.
Like the early years of motoring, a loose rule of thumb for me is "never pass up an opportunity to take a leak or fill your tank" and treat oil levels religiously.
