hi from south nsw

Post by rdrob »

After searching around I finally found the bike I wanted not easy but so glad to find a good example to restore.

Here's some pictures after arriving home. I'm sure I will have heaps of questions once I start stripping the bike down.

Thanks guys yes I'm happy with the find as Jon suggested late last year when I was looking for one to maybe start with buying bits. Xmas came and went then on Aust day this popped up and the wife said I'll buy it for you what a great wife.

Best bit is it's mostly there of course it needs restoring but great bike to start with. The bike had been in bits since 1988 we believe the guy I bought it from races two strokes oh boy what a collection he owns so he has rebuilt the motor crank seals rings the usual.

He's a few more pictures today have removed the tank it goes tomorrow the be chemical dipped and coated.

He's some other angles from unloading the bike.

Don't worry about that one, I'll bring mine around to yours, it'll get you off the couch for longer... Much longer :)

Top score.

yep glad you found a whole one instead of doing it bit by bit, but... and this is the killer... you will end up with another one, probably an RZ to rebuild and maybe modify, its just that these bikes get under your skin like that :)
