$1345...

Post by JonW »

Bitsa rough RZ250R with 'spare 350 motor and pipes'. All in pieces and ugly. Makes $1345...

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/231843247603 ... fresh=true

Im not quite sure if this is good or bad value. The 350 parts obviously command some value, but its a RZR 250 really... and its obviously missing a few bits n bobs, they always are LOL Im sure the parts would look better with a clean up, and Ill wager that top fairing is grp, not plastic, but as it stood the seller must have been over th moon. So, while Im not seeing 1300+ there, plainly a few bidders did... maybe they know something I dont?

If there ever was a 'pig in a poke' that's it 8O . Looks like it been through a flood. If it has there not much of value there.

yep looks like a flood to me too, and all that entails and means too, but of course the buyer might not have noticed that. The 350 stuff could be wonderful, but also a nightmare and a bottom end in a bucket is always scary. But... assuming the 350 cyls are ok, they could be 4-500 of the deal, doesnt make the 250 seem such bad value perhaps...

Jeez. Uphill struggle. Marginal spares haul at best.

I reckon there's a mugs price and a real price.
A lot of people on the bandwagon now, a fair few unrealistic prices being offered in the hope of a quick profit out of the back shed.
It seems that in Australia there's a tendency (once a bandwagon starts) to float a ridiculous price and see if you get any bites.
At the same time, if I'd been a buyer with 2 or 3 grand looking for an RZ there have been a few do-able ones in the ladt few months.

Fair point, but that one bid up to 1345 from something like 99c, either his mates bid it up or someone really wanted it...
