Hi all, referring to Jon's 2smoked page and in tossing up my options (now that I have three half dismantled RZ250 motors all of which "really" need proper rebuilds) on my bench I was wondering what effect running a "350" motor with 250 carbs would have. I'm guessing jetting changes and maybe even a benefit to midrange?
Running on a ridiculously tight budget, so will be putting "the best of the rest" parts into one motor and seeing how I go. Kind of an experiment borne out of necessity.

Ex UK, now in Adelaide. LC250/350. DT175. Shed full of sh1t in the vague form of dismantled rusty RD’s and RZ’s.
Re: 250 to 350 ypvs
It will run, but depends on which 250 carbs you have too... if you have non PJ then you can at least jet it even if the galleys are not quite right, with the PJs youre snookered as the PJ is stuck in the carb and cannot be removed AFAIK.
I see no real benefit in the midrange, more like a detriment somewhere but it will run. why not run it as a 250 if you have all those parts?
