Wire, connectors, and wiring components

Post by BRG1200 »

Gentlemen,
I look around Supercheap etc and see various sets of spade connectors etc, but to put these big clunky red or blue sheathed items on a bike would stick out like dog balls and look like a bodge.
Is there anywhere you know of that can sell bulk packs of connectors that look more in keeping with the items originalky fitted to our old bikes (Yams in my case)

Additionally, without raiding a wrecker for old car/bike looms to cannibalise, is there a known spec for suitable wire, and a good bulk supplier for it?
Been to Jaycar, other places, never been quite convinced what is on offer is either the right spec or anywhere near the right colours.

Any other wiring tips or suggestions, please add to this thread.
Block connectors for example.

There are a couple of outfits who supply what you need, the catch is that they're UK suppliers. Examples: vehicleproducts.co.uk
autoelectricsupplies.co.uk
