2 Strokes Down Under

What is it with updates on apps. Seems like every second day I "need" to download an update that apparently fixed all sorts of security concerns and bugs.

Most updates are over 100mb, which today doesn't seem a lot but WTF is in it to make it so big?

My theory is they are downloading the latest round of advertising..

Anybody know?

Depends on the app. If it's a pretty app, then a lot of the space will be taken up with images etc
My Android app is only 2.3mb but it's pretty simple and only about function.

Ads on Android are delivered "live", so that would not be adding to the app size. Not sure about apple, as I don't know anything about them.
