Variable Damper forks

Post by BRG1200 »

Anyone got a set of 85 onwards variable damper forks with good chrome they’d be interested in moving on?
Ideally with the bars and triples but would start with legs as the stanchions would I think fit earlier triples.
Ex UK, now in Adelaide. LC250/350. DT175. Shed full of sh1t in the vague form of dismantled rusty RD’s and RZ’s.

The lower triple is the same with all RZs, the upper is different for pretty much each model. Might be worth saying what model you actually want?

The stem is effectively also near identical on everything from aircooled on. My aircooled forks are donald ducked, was thinking about a bit of mixy-matchy. Trouble is I’d need a twin disc set-up. I better lay off the chardonnay and have another think.

Its the twin disc bit thats the other fly in the ointment. To get where I want to go I need an XS twin disc front wheel. Not exactly sure which XS’s have a directly compatible cast wheel and they don’t seem to be around so much these days 😄🤔
I have a rare few days “off” when I get back, might be able to clear enough garage space to wirk someting out

LC forks can be used as single or twin disk... try them and see how they work with the wheel youve got?

Did you look out your F1 bars? send me a pic if you have, I'll see if LB and I can fix them in the new jig when its done. I have listed my NOS F1 bars for sale (only on here though) so that will focus our minds to build the jig sooner rather than later. lol
