Based on the old NF/CR engine with a 58/59mm(can't remember) piston. Pistons are not the best and the needle in the carb has no adjustment. Rear shock is crap the rest is OK. Not a bad little bike really.Parts are cheap from Thailand

Balance shaft not timed.
Re: nsr150sp
thanks for the prompt response
would they go out of timing by themselfs as the engine has not being touch or do they have an underling issue

Re: nsr150sp
if they balance shaft is a one peice unit cast unit then there is no way for it to go out of timing.
it should just be a matter of taking the clutch cover off and inspecting the balance shaft gear. the gear will most likely have a dimple of mark in it, the gear which connects to it (usually the primary gear) should have a similar mark on (timing marks) the two dots should line up.
if it doesnt have markings then buy the bikes workshop manual and it will most likely be in there.
if its not the balance shaft it could only really be the bottom end bearings.

the following 4T propaganda was brought to you by your local 2T lobby group...
"whats that youve got there?... a 450? "
yeah...
"what cereal packet did that come out of? "
huh?...
"I just wanted to know, because theres nothing worse than finding a piece of shit in the bottom of your corn flakes. "
