Wanted: Any two-stroke road bikes going?

Test drove an RZ250R and was impressed but it had compression problems.

Anyone know of anything similar on offer?

Thanks,
Marty

EDIT: I've since bought a little 150cc to get me by for a while but I'm still looking for a two stroke!

Hi Marty, welcome. It really depends what you are looking for I guess.

If you are after a real classic that goes well and looks the part from the early 80's then ANT's RD350LC would be hard to go past. Its already had the "right" adjustments made and is currently for sale.

If you want a powervalve later model then there are a couple around on ebay.

If you want an original 350LC thats currently rego'd as a 250LC I might be able to help.

If you want something to put together yourself there are several people here that might be able to help. be a bit more specific as to the style and condition you expect to buy and perhaps the $$ you want to spend.

Cheers DOC

I realize it's been awhile, but I'm after something quite cheap (just moved to Sydney from the States last year). like 2-2.5k tops. Other than that, I'm an engineer so of course I'd be happy with something that needs a bit of work (though not much, I'm electrical :P) and TLC

Martin: bare in mind that compression issues may be a pretty simple fix.

How bad was it?

Sorry for such a late reply. It was pretty bad & I haven't had my own two-stoker before. Still in the market though...
