now begins the painfull process of pulling apart the wiring loom and hooking up the ECU...

after slicing it open and marking all the wires that I need, Its not looking so daunting anymore... will take a couple nights and a few beers to get it right though..

its just nice when things fit properly...

this is why I chose these particular wheels...

Image

chain lines up perfectly,

Image

wheel is centered

Image

one of the CRM spacers fits perfectly into my cushdrive bearing to make the perfect width spacer to offset the sprocket from the swingarm.

Image

This also is the perfect legnth as the rear brake bracket now acts as the perfect spacer on the other side, I just need to file the edges down a tad to make sure the bracket only contacts the inner bearing not the outer.

Image

all I need to do now is wait for the cush rubbers to turn up in the post, then get a disc and some 20mm ID wheel bearings so suit the CRM axle.

couldnt be any easier than this!

as for the front, it all seems to fit nicely with the stock bearings, Iv ordered some new ones and need to swap them in,
but I need to get my triple clamp machined out to fit the forks before I worry about the wheels, then its just a matter of centring the wheel and making spacers and off seting the calliper if needed.

I know I was told to run the stock airbox, but I found that will the new carb, the new manifold, larger shock spring...

it all just became a little bit too hard...

so I just picked up this brand new air filter off ebay for $5 !!!

I honestly think that the inside of this car air filter is the same size as the stock airbox haha. so I think that If I semi enclose it, it should work perfecty :)

charging system works, and the ignition pickups are pulsing perfectly!

just need to head down to the supermarket tonight to grab 2x 6V torch batteries so that I can turn the ignition on
(I cant turn it over fast enough by hand to produce 12 volts and the drill attachment hasnt turned up in the post yet.)

then I can test for spark and test the servo motor.

pretty happy so far because it works first try! (after 2T institute made some corrects or me haha)

The stars have aligned, a new class has been created that the CRM fits into.

Supermoto S4, which is an unlimited supermoto class, hosted by Preston MC.

First round is at broadford early next year. Hope I can have the bike properly sorted by then :)

The SM boys are hopeing I can make it as we really need healthy numbers to keep the SM classes alive. So far 12 people have put their hands up to enter which is great.
