Quick plug

Post by RGbargy »

Hi guys
I've been lurking around here for a few months now so I thought I'd finally register and give Graham and CRS a plug while I'm at it.
I wanted to upload a photo or two of a RG500 crank rebuild he did for me a few months back as part of a total engine rebuild, but the attachment facility here is a woeful 256kb???
All new OEM bearings and seals throughout. Not cheap, but hopefully it will give me another 20 years on top of the 20+ years I've already had out of it.
The bike was partially re-assembled and the engine given a quick fire up before taking the fuel tank back off for repainting. Sounds as good as it ever did.
Cheers
H

256k should be plenty.
My 800x600 pics are always under 200k.

If its any bigger than 800x600 or so, it will look silly displayed on the website anyway. Resize it and make sure it's a jpg and it should be fine.

just open it in MS paint and save as a jpeg.

or create a photobucket account, makes life much much easier for posting up images anywhere.
the following 4T propaganda was brought to you by your local 2T lobby group...

Yeah, well computers aren't my strong point. 70-80mm flogging spanners and big hammers are my domain...

I agree Graham does a great job, I just wish he wouldn't bullshit about the time he takes. Told me 2 days, it took 3weeks, no parts were needed I supplied it all.

Yeh ken, It was probably just my timing as he told me had a few race cranks for some meeting coming up, so I assume he pushed those in front of my job. Anyway, not to loose sleep, the job was perfect and the crank is back in the engine and running.

The RG motor is nice to work on but talk about an amount of bolts holding it together.
